A 26 year-old Thamesville man is facing assault charges after what Chatham-Kent police say was an incident of intimate partner violence.
Police say they first investigated an incident in January where a man was charged and banned from communicating with or going where the victim was.
On Nov. 22, police learned the man breached the conditions and on Nov. 14, the man and the victim had an argument where the man allegedly assaulted the woman again.
Police put out a warrant for his arrest and he turned himself into police Dec. 5.
He’s been charged with mischief and assault as well as violating bail conditions.
