Chatham-Kent police arrested a 28 year-old in Morpeth after spotting a stolen car.

On Dec. 8, around 9 am, police spotted a vehicle on Talbot Trail near McPherson Road and confirmed it had been stolen that morning in St. Thomas.

The officer flipped on the cruiser lights, but the driver failed to stop. After a short distance, the vehicle did pull over the man got out.

A 28 year-old has been charged with possession of stolen property, dangerous driving, flight from police, operating a motor vehicle while prohibited and mischief.

He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with driving while under suspension.

The man was held for a bail hearing and ended up back in St. Thomas where he was wanted on theft charges.
