A Dresden man was arrested twice in one day after an incident at a local pizzeria and at his home.

Just before 1 pm Dec. 12, Chatham-Kent Police were called to Godfather’s Pizza on St. George Street after a man came into the restaurant and started throwing things around the store. The staff asked him to clean up the mess and the man threatened the staff member.

Police arrested the man, charging him with mischief and uttering threats. He was released to appear in court Jan. 15.

Then, just after 5 pm, police were called to a Queen Street East home where the man was causing another disturbance. Police said he was arguing with his landlord when the disagreement escalated and the tenant pulled out a small silver knife.

Police arrested the 21 year-old and charged him with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon. This time he was held until a bail hearing was set.
