Chatham-Kent Police have charged a Chatham woman after a fatal accident on Victoria Road near Ridgetown in June.

On June 17, police were called to a two-car collision on Victoria Road at Gosnell Line. A woman in the northbound car – Barbara Bondy, 60, of Chatham, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 60 year-old passenger was seriously injured and taken to London via Air ambulance.

A 32 year-old woman and her 13 year-old passenger were treated for non-life threatening injuries in Chatham at the time.

Dec. 8, police charged the 32 year-old driver with careless driving causing death and two counts of careless driving causing bodily harm. She’ll be in court Jan. 30.
