The Critical Incident Response Team has a Thamesville street blocked off this hour.
Chatham-Kent Police say there is an active incident.
Neighbours say Sherman Street between Lamilla and Ferguson has been blocked off since the noon hour. A half dozen police vehicles including the armoured CIRT vehicle are around the one storey home. One witness said police yelled out to stay indoors when the incident first started.
Officers with rifles have been seen around the home.
It’s believed only one person is inside the home and there have been no injuries. An EMS unit is parked up the street on standby.
