Friends and family are remember a 29 year-old Murkirk woman who died in a car accident near Bothwell as someone who never hesitated to help people around her.
Brooke Beenackers died July 3. Chatham-Kent Police were called to a two-car collision on Longwoods Road between Wallace Street and Pitt Road.
A 29-year-old male from Thamesville was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with minor injuries.
A 29-year-old woman, later identified by family as Beenackers was taken to Four Counties Hospital with serious injuries and later succumbed to her injuries.
Beenackers left behind her husband Steven and their son, Wells, who turned one just days after Beenackers died.
“Over her short, but full, 29 years, Brooke loved playing sports, spending time with friends, helping her dad on the farm, and loving/caring for her family,” her family wrote in her obituary.
“Brooke cared deeply for everyone around her.
“She never hesitated to reach out and help in whatever capacity needed.”
They asked to honour her memory, “please pay it forward. Make a donation to something close to your heart, or simply help someone in need every chance you get.”
Heather Erickson knew Beenackers from hockey and admired her skill.
“She was an amazing player. However she was a fierce contender on the boys team and they looked after her like she was their sister.
“Everyone has so many wonderful stories of Brooke. She touched so many lives and was loved by many,” wrote Erickson online.
